🎮 Discord Community — Coming Post-Launch
A Discord server for curators, scholars, and the Trellis community will launch after the initial release. This will serve as the primary space for real-time discussion, feedback, and collaboration on question quality and feature development.
📧 Email Updates — Post-Launch
An opt-in email newsletter for major releases and feature announcements is planned post-launch. This system is not yet set up but will provide direct, focused communication for those who prefer email over in-app or Discord updates.
Communications Philosophy
Scriba Lucis and its applications (including Trellis) are built on principles of focus, intentionality, and resistance to noise. This extends to how I communicate with users and engage with the broader community.
Where Trellis Communicates
- This Website — Primary source for news, updates, and announcements
- Email Updates (Post-Launch) — Direct communication for major releases and feature announcements (opt-in only)
- Discord (Post-Launch) — Real-time community discussion, curator collaboration, and feedback
- App Notifications — In-app announcements for new modules, features, and content releases
Why This Approach?
Social media platforms are designed to maximize time-on-platform through algorithmic feeds, notifications, and engagement-driven content. This is fundamentally incompatible with the kind of sustained, contemplative engagement that study requires.
By avoiding these platforms, I create space for focused communication that respects users' time and attention. Updates are intentional, substantive, and delivered through channels users control.
Community Engagement
I am deeply committed to community engagement, but on terms that serve focus and depth rather than distraction. The forthcoming Discord server will provide real-time interaction while maintaining boundaries around notification frequency and content quality.
Feedback is welcomed and actively incorporated into development. Use the contact form, join the Discord when it launches, or reach out via email for thoughtful, asynchronous dialogue.
